PACOIMA : 2 Youths Arrested After Car Chase

Two Pacoima teen-agers in a stolen car led sheriff’s deputies on a high-speed chase from Canyon Country to San Fernando Monday night, crashed into a parked car and were arrested, authorities said.

Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley station received a call about 9:45 p.m. that two teen-agers were harassing people in the 18500 block of Soledad Canyon Road, said Sgt. Bruce Sonnenblick. When deputies arrived at the location, the vehicle--which had been reported stolen--had already left.

Deputies spotted the car a short time later. When they tried to stop the vehicle, the teen-agers sped off. The deputies pursued them south on the Antelope Valley Freeway to the Golden State Freeway, then east on the Simi Valley Freeway and then back west on the Foothill Freeway.

They then exited on the Maclay Avenue off-ramp, where they crashed into a parked car near Foothill Boulevard.

The two teen-agers, who were not injured, were taken into custody and are being held at the Sylmar Juvenile Hall, Sonnenblick said.
