T-Shirt Giveaway at Wrestling Event
City officials and police will hand out T-shirts with an anti-drug message to the first 400 people who attend an Oct. 3 professional wrestling match at Maywood Park.
The 6 p.m. event, which is free and will be at the Earl B. Stevens Baseball Field, will feature a six-man, tag-team title match. C.C. Thunder, the Medic and Spike Cantillo will face off against Dr. Jerry Graham, Bad Boy Bubba Storm and Desperado Mark Kissell.
The event will mark the fifth time in two years that anti-drug T-shirts will be distributed at a city-sponsored wrestling match. The Maywood Police Department donated the shirts for the event, which will be broadcast on television cable Channel 28 several times, starting in about two weeks.
The park is at 4801 E. 58th St. Information: (213) 562-5020.
