Behind the Scenes : Diane Freis Frames

Longtime followers of Diane Freis had a rare chance to meet the Hong Kong-based designer last Friday at Neiman Marcus, Fashion Island Newport Beach. Freis fans lunched with her during an hourlong fashion show debuting her fall 1992 collection. Freis, known for her one-piece travel polyester dress, is breaking ground with a colorful collection featuring velvet brocades, poly chiffon and knitwear embellished with beaded accents.
