TIGHT SQUEEZE: Reed is more unhappy about the new Metrolink commuter rail cars than he is with Fried. Reed was a driving force behind buying them. Now he’s among the many riders complaining that they aren’t comfortable. Reed says there’s no leg room and “women are rubbing knees with strangers.” He plans to seek improvements before OCTA buys its next round of cars.
