In addition, a world premiere of “Light Sensitive,” by Jim Geoghan will also be part of the company’s six-play season.

“Redwood Curtain,” “Falsettos” and “Morning’s at Seven” will be presented on the 581-seat Old Globe Theatre stage. “Light Sensitive,” “Ghosts” and the additional play will be performed on the 225-seat Cassius Carter Centre Stage.

“Redwood Curtain,” a story of an Amerasian musician’s search for her Vietnam veteran father, will be directed by longtime Wilson collaborator Marshall Mason from Jan. 21-Feb. 28 at the Old Globe Theatre. The work has been produced by the Annenberg Center in Philadelphia and at the Seattle Repertory Theatre in Seattle. Producers Robert Cole and Benjamin Mordecai will help shepherd the Old Globe production to Broadway in March, 1993.

“Falsettos,” which won two Tonys for William Finn’s musical score and the book by Finn and James Lapine, will be directed by Lapine March 18-April 25 and will feature some members of the original New York company. The musical tells the story of Marvin, a man who leaves his wife and son when he realizes he is gay. A national tour of the show produced by the show’s Broadway producers will follow the Old Globe production.

Old Globe associate artist Sada Thompson will star in “Morning’s At Seven,” a gentle 1939 comedy about the squabbles of four elderly sisters, one unmarried. The show had a successful Broadway revival in 1980. It will be presented May 13-June 20 under the direction of executive producer Craig Noel.

Geoghan, the former stand-up comedian who wrote “Light Sensitive,” is best known for his Off Broadway play “Only Kidding” about stand-up comedians that opened in April in Los Angeles. “Light Sensitive” tells the story of a blind ex-taxi driver in Hell’s Kitchen. It runs Jan. 16-Feb. 28. A director has not yet been announced.

Jack O’Brien, artistic director of the Old Globe Theatre, will direct “Ghosts,” a tale about how secrets kept to hold a family together can ultimately tear it apart, March 13-April 25.
