HOT SPOT: The Ritz-Carlton hotel in Dana Point ranks sixth among the top 20 resorts in the mainland U.S. picked by Conde Nast Traveler. The magazine’s October issue also lists the Ritz-Carlton 13th among the top 100 resorts, vacation spots, airlines and cruise lines in the world, up from 16th in 1991. . . . “We’re grateful for the recognition,” says general manager Henry E. Schielein. “As long as we’re among the top, that’s all that matters.”
