Calling On the Masses: In another act of charity, Showtime is encouraging cable operators to unscramble its 90-minute “Hurricane Relief” special Friday night and carry it on an open channel in an effort to solicit wider contributions for victims of hurricanes Andrew and Iniki. The program consists of highlights of a recent benefit concert for hurricane victims co-hosted in Miami by Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Whoopi Goldberg and Andy Garcia.
