LANCASTER : Woman’s Body Is Identified
Authorities on Tuesday identified a woman whose body was discovered in a Lancaster field.
Two elementary school children found the body of Shirley Medina Diaz, 25, of Lancaster, in the 1300 block of West Avenue J on Monday morning, said Margaret White, a spokeswoman for the county coroner’s office.
Homicide detectives on Monday said it appeared that Diaz had been killed with some type of blow to the head, but the results of an autopsy are pending, White said.
