BREA : Home Rehabilitation Hearing Scheduled
A public hearing will be held today on the city’s Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program.
The hearing will start at 7 p.m. at the Brea Civic and Cultural Center.
Housing rehabilitation specialist Pat Stokes said various ways to expand the current program, which provides low-interest loans to low- and moderate-income families, will be discussed.
The comments will form the basis for future direction of the program, Stokes said.
The city provides as much as $35,000 per family to be used for housing repairs. Funding comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and county grants.
