Now Hear This: The British Broadcasting Corp. wants some money back from Luciano Pavarotti, accusing the opera star of lip-syncing a Sept. 27 concert in Italy that BBC broadcast and assumed would be live. A spokeswoman for BBC Radio 2 said the BBC learned of the lip-syncing the day before the concert. Radio listeners were not told that the music was recorded. Pavarotti was in New York for performances at the Metropolitan Opera and could not be contacted, according to an employee of his agent.
