BURBANK : City Proclaims Itself ‘Media Capital of World’
Burbank officials touted the city as the “media capital of the world” in Hollywood trade papers this week, capitalizing on the City Council’s approval of a $600-million expansion of the Walt Disney Studios.

The vote exemplifies Burbank’s decision to turn to the entertainment industry to save the city’s economic future after the recent loss of several big aerospace companies.
