PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE NFL : Hodson Will Start for Injured Millen
Tommy Hodson will start at quarterback for the New England Patriots on Sunday against Miami, replacing injured Hugh Millen.
Millen was unable to practice again Thursday because of shoulder and knee injuries, and Patriot officials announced after practice that Hodson, a third-year pro from Louisiana State, would start.
Millen was battered in the Patriots’ loss last weekend to San Francisco, separating his left shoulder and spraining his left knee. The right-hander has been sacked 25 times this season as the Patriots lost all five games.
Hodson started the final six games of 1990 as a rookie and the first three games of last season but was replaced by Millen. He has not played this season.
