Highland 17, Quartz Hill 14--Chris Oeland, who missed a 24-yard field-goal attempt in the second quarter, kicked one of 21 yards with four seconds left to give the visiting Bulldogs (5-1, 1-0) the win in a Golden League opener.
Quartz Hill (1-5, 0-1) jumped to a 14-0 lead in the second quarter but could not stop Highland’s Cleveland Williams, who gained 136 yards in 26 carries.
