Navistar Withdraws Retiree Health Care Suit: Navistar International Corp. said it has withdrawn a suit seeking to reduce its health care benefits for about 40,000 retirees in efforts to save the company about $90 million a year. The Chicago truck, engine and school bus maker said that, instead, it will try to resolve the issue through negotiations with the United Auto Workers union. Navistar and the UAW hope to reach an agreement by early December. Navistar asked a U.S. District Court last July to grant a declaratory judgment in the case so it could cut the benefits.
