Clues Sought in Couple’s Fatal Stabbing

Authorities are looking for leads into the fatal stabbings of two West Hollywood residents who were discovered in their Fountain Avenue apartment Sunday evening.
The two were identified as Ami Barzelay, 63, and Julita Barzelay, 61, who police said appeared to have been dead for days. A neighbor said the two were married.
West Hollywood-based sheriff’s deputies found the two dead at 6:35 p.m. after a neighbor reported that the door to the Barzelays’ Fountain Avenue apartment was ajar and a foul smell was coming from inside, according to a sheriff’s spokeswoman.
