Coach Chuck Knox, who had one of the biggest home-field advantages in football for nine years in Seattle’s noisy Kingdome, seems to be warming to the once-mellow atmosphere of Anaheim Stadium.

The Rams, after Sunday’s 38-17 victory over the New York Giants at Anaheim Stadium, are 3-0 at home, and Sunday, the season-high crowd of 53,541 was exuberant from the start.

“You always have to, if you can, give the crowd something they can tie into, (something) they can feel good about--a big play, whatever,” Knox said.

Atlanta, the Rams’ next opponent after their bye weekend, is only 2-5 but beat the Rams twice last season by 31-14 scores. The Falcons lost to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, 56-17.

“They’ll be riled up,” Knox said.
