Ullman Claims Denied in Fox Suit: Actress Tracy Ullman lost her lawsuit against Fox Inc. She claimed that the film and TV studio unlawfully withheld $2.25 million in merchandising revenue from “The Simpsons.” Ullman had claimed that her contract for “The Tracy Ullman Show” entitled her to 7.5% of the merchandising revenue from “The Simpsons,” which originally appeared as an animation segment on her show. The two-week trial ended after the jury spent less than one day in deliberations. The jury found 11-1 against Ullman on her claim she was entitled to enhanced merchandising royalties and 12-0 against her claim on breach of fiduciary duty.
