For dedicated gardeners, here are suggestions from the California Assn. of Nurserymen on what to do in the garden this week:

*Remove tulips from the refrigerator and prepare bulb beds for planting. Use bone meal or a bulb fertilizer when planting them.

*Bulbs make a wonderful display when planted in containers.

*Keep whitefly under control with sticky yellow whitefly traps. They are available at your local nursery or garden center.

*Use a pre-emergent control and lawn fertilizer to control annual bluegrass in lawns.

*To keep Bermuda grass lawns green all winter overseed them with Perennial Rye grass and then top dress.

*For a show of color right through winter and into spring, plant cyclamen.
