Chess Game Delayed
Boris Spassky used his fourth and final postponement to cancel Sunday’s scheduled 25th game in his chess match against Bobby Fischer in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. Spassky is suffering from a cold, which caused him to cancel Thursday’s playing session, although he played, to a draw, on Saturday.
Match rules, written by Fischer, limit each player to four postponements for illness. The 25th game has been rescheduled for Wednesday. Fischer leads the match, 8-4, with 12 draws. Ten victories spell the end of the match.
