B of A to Close More Branches in Orange County: Bank of America said it will shut down 11 of its 32 branches in central Orange County. That makes 40 offices that B of A has said it will close in the county since acquiring Security Pacific National Bank in April. The closures, to be completed in January and February, will leave B of A with 84 branches in Orange County. The bank will not say how many people work at the offices. However, an estimate considered conservative by analysts would put the number at about 800.
