COLLEGE FOOTBALL: DAILY REPORT : USC : Conway Mulls Move to NFL

The play of USC flanker Curtis Conway has led to speculation that he will skip his senior year and be available for the NFL draft next spring.

“Curtis and I talked about that a couple weeks ago,” USC Coach Larry Smith said. “After the season is over, he and I are going to sit down, and he’ll decide what’s best for Curtis Conway.”

Conway is second in the Pacific 10 Conference with an average of 173 all-purpose yards, but Smith would like him to get the ball more often.

“We’re trying to put him into new areas where he can find more ways to do things,” Smith said. “Anything we can do to get the ball to Curtis one more time is going to help.”

Arizona State quarterback Grady Benton is probable for Saturday’s game against USC at Tempe, Ariz., despite a deep bruise near his collarbone.
