Del Rey : Donation Saves Halloween
Vandals may have thought they ruined Halloween at Stoner Avenue School by smearing paint on students’ grocery bag jack-o-lanterns and trashing the first-grade classroom, but a Culver City video game manufacturer who read of the incident is turning the trick into a treat.
Turbo Technologies has donated trick-or-treat bags, Halloween safety tips, prizes, a costumed “Bonk” character to lead tomorrow’s costume parade and a video game system for this week’s PTA bake sale and raffle to Stoner. The company also has contributed similar Halloween goodies to four other Los Angeles-area elementary schools.
