Parretti Sues Credit Lyonnais: Italian financier Giancarlo Parretti claimed that he filed suit in Italy against the French bank, which helped him finance his $1.3-billion takeover of MGM studios. The Italian financier claims that Credit Lyonnais, which won control of MGM from Parretti in a February decision by a Delaware court, pushed MGM to the verge of bankruptcy to wrest control from him. Parretti said he was suing the bank for $346 million in damages. A Credit Lyonnais spokesman called Parretti’s suit “more of the same,” noting that the courts have sided with the bank and that Parretti is under indictment.
