Skateboard Ban

I think there should be an article about the lame San Diego City Council. The council’s legislation setting a ban on nighttime skateboarding on oceanfront sidewalks between Mission Beach and Pacific Beach is absurd.

The council (which voted 7 to 1 in favor of the new law) pitifully thinks that this ban will stop noise pollution at night. Any dummy knows that skateboards aren’t the only source of the noise; what about bicycles, roller skates and cars? Will the council next ban driving your car at night? Why don’t they get a life and do something productive instead of hassling people who ride their skateboards at night? How many people ride their skateboards from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. anyhow?
