CONTINUING ON: Actor Ben Vereen agreed months ago to be keynote speaker for an American Assn. for Adult and Continuing Education conference here this week. But that was before he was struck by a car and almost killed near his Malibu home in June. . . . The association expected him to cancel. But Vereen says he’ll be there--his first public appearance since the accident. Vereen, active in many educational ventures, will speak Wednesday morning at the Anaheim Hilton and Towers event.
