When There Wasn’t a Game
Thanks a lot, CBS, for allowing an occasional glimpse of the baseball playoffs to appear among the monotonous repeat commercials, the numerous voice-over plugs, the tiresome promos for your fall lineup and the saturation of political ads you managed to profitably squeeze in. All of these, of course, were abetted by the endless statistics and boring reminiscences of either Tim McCarver or Jim Kaat.
