FROM THE HEART: Thanks in part to an appearance on the hit soundtrack album from “Singles,” the Lovemongers--the acoustic side project of Heart’s Ann and Nancy Wilson--are finally going to release their own record. The band--with the Wilsons joined by Sue Ennis and Frank Cox--has long been a local favorite in Seattle and in the past year gained nationwide attention when such young Seattle rockers as Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam made guest appearances at their shows.

The Lovemongers EP will be released by Capitol on Nov. 27 and contains live recordings of Led Zeppelin’s “Battle of Evermore” (already on the “Singles” collection), Todd Rundgren’s “Love of the Common Man,” the Temptations’ “Papa Was a Rolling Stone” and Heart’s own first hit, “Crazy on You.”

Meanwhile, Heart is at work in a Seattle studio on its next album, which will be released next year.
