Progressives Plummet

TORONTO — Support for Canada’s ruling Progressive Conservatives has fallen to 17%, dropping it to third place among the nation’s political parties, an opinion poll conducted in late October shows.
The poll, released Friday, was conducted by the Angus Reid agency and Southam News after the defeat of constitutional changes proposed by the government in a national referendum Oct. 26, and compares with one taken in September.
