International Remote Earnings Up Sharply

International Remote Imaging Systems Inc., a Chatsworth maker of urinalysis workstations, reported a sharp increase in its third quarter earnings.

The company’s profit increased to $183,296 in the quarter that ended Sept. 30, in contrast with a $32,282 profit a year earlier. Its revenue rose 39%, to $2.02 million from $1.46 million.

International Remote’s nine-month profit was $476,686, up from $65,473 in earnings a year before. Its revenue totaled $5.64 million, a 35% gain from the 1991 period.
