Countywide : Government Offices Closed for Holiday
Federal, state and city offices that serve the public and most banks will be closed today in observance of Veterans Day, but most schools and county offices will remain open.
Emergency services will still be available, officials said Tuesday.
Although the federal and state holiday will be just another workday for Ventura County employees, the municipal and superior courts will be closed, including traffic and small claims courts.
The city halls of all 10 Ventura County cities will be locked today, but the Simi Valley Senior Center and the Ventura Senior Center on North Ventura Avenue will remain open for their regular lunch programs.
All public schools in the county will be in session today except for those in the Moorpark Unified School District. All other schools were closed on Monday, except for those in the 15,200-student Ventura Unified School District and the 100-student Mupu Elementary School in Santa Paula. Students in those districts will have Friday off instead.
