The former Security Pacific Gallery in Costa Mesa has reopened earlier than expected as a showcase for exhibits drawn from the combined collections of Security Pacific and BankAmerica Corp., which merged as BankAmerica in April. “The Artist’s Hand,” with drawings and other works by more than 50 artists from around the country, is on view at the renamed BankAmerica South Coast Metro Gallery through Nov. 27. A modified version of the show opens Dec. 7 and will run through most of January. Gallery intern Heidi Nickisher is running the gallery, open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., said Bonnie Earls-Solari, director of the BankAmerica art program. Reconfiguration of the gallery remains a possibility, but no plans have been set, Earls-Solari said.
