He Wouldn’t Touch Them With a 10-Foot Poll

Share

How can anyone give credence to the AP and USA/CNN college football polls? They look at inflated records with little regard to deflated schedules. No. 3 Michigan has played only one ranked team all year (they were tied by Notre Dame); same with No. 4 Texas A&M; (they defeated Stanford). After 10 weeks, No. 2 Alabama meets only its second ranked team, No. 16 Mississippi State.

The nation’s top three teams are Miami, Florida State and Washington, with Arizona and Nebraska fifth and sixth. And who knows that better than anyone? Las Vegas. In spite of the rankings, they will make Michigan a dog against Washington in the Rose Bowl and A&M; a dog with even bigger fleas against Florida State in the Cotton.
