The Sacramento Kings signed free-agent point guard Stan Kimbrough to help replace starter Spud Webb, who was put on injured reserve because of torn wrist ligaments.

The 5-foot-11 Kimbrough, who played for the Kings during the exhibition season, was released Nov. 2. He played for the Detroit Pistons in 1989-90 and also spent time in the Continental Basketball Assn.

Webb suffered the injury during the Kings’ victory Sunday over the Lakers. He is expected to be sidelined for at least two months.

Augmon, who averaged 13.3 points as a rookie, had minor arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Oct. 30. He has sat out the Hawks’ first four regular-season games.
