WESTERN ATHLETIC ROUNDUP : Willis Rushes for 146 Yards as BYU Rolls Past Air Force

Sophomore Jamal Willis carried 18 times for 146 yards and two touchdowns, including an 80-yard run in the second quarter, and Brigham Young kept its bowl hopes alive with a 28-7 victory over Air Force in a Western Athletic Conference game Saturday at Air Force Academy, Colo.
Willis also had a 27-yard touchdown run midway through the fourth quarter as the Cougars (7-4, 5-2) posted their 10th consecutive victory over Liberty Bowl-bound Air Force (7-4, 4-4).
Utah 38, Wyoming 7--Jeff Kirkman returned an interception 43 yards for a touchdown to start Utes (6-4, 5-2) on their way to a WAC victory over the Cowboys (5-6, 3-4) at Salt Lake City.
New Mexico 35, Texas El Paso 14--Stoney Case completed 17 of 25 passes for 316 yards and two touchdowns as the Lobos (3-7, 2-5) beat the Miners (1-9, 1-6) at Albuquerque.
Colorado State 35, Ohio 24--Wide receiver Greg Primus had 118 yards on only two receptions, including a 65-yarder for the game-winner, as the Rams (4-7) scored 21 fourth-quarter points to beat the Bobcats (1-10) at Fort Collins, Colo.
