Tom Chambers scored eight of his 16 points in the fourth quarter, helping the Phoenix Suns beat Seattle, 117-108, Monday night at Phoenix.

It was the SuperSonics’ first loss of the season.

Charles Barkley led the Suns with 28 points and 12 rebounds, and Dan Majerle scored 22 points. However, Barkley and Majerle scored only four points apiece in the final quarter.

Derrick McKey and Shawn Kemp had 19 points each for Seattle, which started the season 4-0.

Portland 109, New York 94--Cliff Robinson, Mario Elie and Mark Bryant provided the spark off the bench as the Trail Blazers beat the Knicks at Portland to become the only unbeaten team left in the young NBA season.

Robinson scored 14 of his 21 points in the first half, when Portland led by as many as 16, then scored five more in the final quarter.

Elie and Bryant, who spent much of the game guarding Patrick Ewing, despite a distinct height disadvantage, also had crucial fourth-quarter baskets as Portland improved to 5-0.
