Irvine Valley Loses in Basketball, 106-103

Gabe Higa scored a team-high 20 points and had nine rebounds for Irvine Valley in a 106-103 loss to Long Beach Monday at Riverside.
Chris Kostoff scored 18 points, all on three-pointers, and Brian Linsenmayer added 13 points. Jamie Davis had 33 points and 11 rebounds to lead Long Beach (2-0).
Irvine Valley (1-1) will play San Diego City at 5 p.m. today at Riverside.
