Again this year, Orange County malls will provide a variety of holiday attractions and promotions to entertain shoppers. Unless otherwise noted, the scheduled entertainment runs through Dec. 24:

Dec. 12: Santa breakfasts with shoppers, 8 a.m. in the Choo Choo Cafe; special guests include Frosty the Snowman and other animated characters; face-painting and other carnival-like activities also available

Dec. 5: Two 20-minute parades featuring elves, clowns, dolls and other costumed characters, 1 and 3 p.m.

Dec. 22: Children can decorate cookies, noon to 3 p.m.

MISSION VIEJO MALL

Dec. 5, 12, 19: Hearing-impaired children can talk to Santa in sign language, noon to 3 p.m.

Dec. 5: Saddleback Dance Center ballerinas perform, 4 p.m.

Dec. 12, 19: Niguel Hills Middle School orchestra performs, 7 p.m.

Dec. 14-17: Dancers from Suzanne’s Dance Factory perform in the evenings
