Reeves shouldn’t be so sanctimonious in describing his wife Cathy O’Neill’s “grass roots” campaign support. Many of her contributors were developers and developers’ attorneys who were angry that my husband, state Sen. Herschel Rosenthal, thwarted their attempts to build large projects in the Santa Monica Mountains and on the public beaches.
While Tom Hayden waged a filthy, slanderous campaign against my husband, O’Neill took a portion of Hayden’s attacks and used them in her own campaign.
