COSTA MESA : Water Pipe Breaks, Slows Down Traffic
A 12-inch water pipe broke under Sunflower Avenue on Wednesday morning and caused a traffic bottleneck in a busy portion of the northern part of the city.
In order to repair the break, Santa Ana work crews had to temporarily close Sunflower Avenue between Susan and Fairview streets and detour traffic to MacArthur Boulevard in Santa Ana.
The broken water pipe is on the Santa Ana side of Sunflower, which forms the border between Costa Mesa and Santa Ana.
Repairs were done by the afternoon.
