Outrage Over ‘Room’ Review

The L.A. Times seems to have hit an all-time low with Jan Herman’s review of “Veronica’s Room: Condemned but Livable.” I found it insulting, not only to the cast and production staff, but also to theatergoers in Orange County.

To call dedicated actors brain damaged for wanting to repeat a show that is challenging, due to many different character changes and emotional ranges, is a journalistic low. Reviewing plays is subjective, but it is hard to believe that the same show, director and cast which were given a good review in June by Times reviewer M.E. Warren could be so demeaned this time around.
