Eight years before Sean Connery became the first movie James Bond in 1962’s “Dr. No,” American actor Barry Nelson played 007 in the live television drama “Casino Royale,” which aired on the “Climax” series on Oct. 21, 1954. TBS kicks off its 30th-anniversary salute to James Bond movies with the first national telecast of “Casino Royale” (Sunday at 5 p.m.) since 1954. Peter Lorre and Linda Christian also star.
