Greenpeace Ends Pursuit of Ship Bearing Plutonium

AMSTERDAM —
Greenpeace on Tuesday abandoned its pursuit of a Japanese ship carrying 1.7 tons of plutonium from France to Japan.
The Amsterdam-based environmentalist group said that its vessel, which had been shadowing the Japanese ship, did not have enough fuel to keep up.
