SAN DIEGO : Man Crossing Interstate 5 Is Killed
A man was hit by a car and killed when he attempted to cross Interstate 5 in downtown San Diego Friday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Everardo Garcia Quezada, 32, of Escondido was pronounced dead at 3:55 a.m. on I-5 between Hawthorn and Front streets, the CHP said.
Quezada had stepped into a southbound fast lane when he was hit by a Chevrolet Suburban registered to San Diego Gas & Electric, driven by Manuel Gonzales, 34, of Lakeside, the CHP said.
