More than 1,200 runners are expected to race in the Western Hemisphere Marathon, which begins at 8 a.m. today in Culver City.
The race, formerly called the Culver City Marathon, is the oldest consecutively run marathon outside of Boston. The out-and-back course begins at the corner of Culver and Overland. The wheelchair division starts at 7:45 a.m., a one-mile childrens’ fun run at 8:15 a.m. and a 5K at 9 a.m.
