Place Your Bet: “You Bet Your Life” may be off KCBS-TV Channel 2 for the moment, but the station says it’s a safe bet that the syndicated series starring Bill Cosby will be back. “Real Stories of the Highway Patrol” is having a two-week test drive in the 7 p.m. weeknight slot, but “Bet” will return on Dec. 21 and remain through the fall. The half-hour remake of Groucho Marx’s 1950s game show received a disappointing 4.5 rating in Los Angeles during the November ratings sweeps, less than half of the national rating that Carsey-Werner Distribution guaranteed to advertisers before the fall premiere.
