Sports Store a Good Skate: Looking for a good deal on in-line skates?
Big 5 Sporting Goods has donated 500 pairs of them in children’s sizes to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County Thrift Shops. Wholesale value of the donation is $10,000; the shops, one in Santa Ana, two in Anaheim, one in Corona and four in Los Angeles County, are selling them at a discount.
The skates are going fast, a CHOC spokeswoman said. Only a few pairs are left in each store.
