Vertigo Goes: Vertigo, the downtown L.A. nightclub known for its exclusive fashion policy (rigidly enforced by surly doormen) and such illustrious regulars as Princess Stephanie of Monaco, is closing after tonight. Steve Edelson, a managing partner, said the club will go out with a special party featuring a surprise midnight performance and a reunion of deejays and employees who have worked there during its seven years. He had no comment on reports that a second branch of Minneapolis’ Glam Slam club, which is part-owned by Prince, will take over the Boylston Street facility or that Vertigo will reopen in Hollywood next year.
