Controversy Over Marge Schott

It is interesting that an old lady with a loose tongue has stirred up so many self-righteous writers. From their ever-flowing verbiage of condemnation and damnation, it would appear that some would like to see Schott stoned to death in a public place, maybe on television.

I do not defend loose talk but I do recommend that perhaps we should consider the words attributed to Jesus when he admonished an angry mob, who wanted to kill a wicked woman, when he said: “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.”

That injunction, revised, could read: “He that has never used a pejorative epithet, let him first cast harsh words at her.”
