School Days: Ed Asner is going back to school to play a college president on “Higher Education,” a TV series to be produced through Chapman University’s film and TV department. Asner has donated his services to the show, which is about life at a fictional private university. Students will write, direct and act in the series, created by professors Pamela Ezell and Gregory Hobson. It will be shot at the campus in Orange in January. An added perk: The students get college credit for their work.
