5 Units Leased at Priske’s Ojai Industrial Complex

Ventura-based Priske Development Inc. has leased five units of its industrial complex in the Ojai Valley Business Park in the past month, signaling “a positive step toward a return in our economy,” company Vice President Nancy Jones said.

“Business owners are looking to the future with an encouraged, though conservative, outlook,” she said.

Only one of the 11 units in the industrial condominium complex on Bryant Circle in Ojai has been sold since the project was completed in May, but eight others have been leased with an option to purchase, leaving only two vacancies, Jones noted.

Last week, Widder Enterprises, an outdoor clothing manufacturer, leased its second unit, bringing its total space in the project to 3,000 square feet.

New tenants in the complex include Creative Concepts Publishing Corp., a sheet music distributor, and Musitek, a music computer software firm. In addition, two of the units were leased as artists’ studios.

The Priske concern, which is 10 years old, has developed several large commercial and industrial projects in Ventura County, including the Firehouse Plaza shopping center on Main Street in Ventura.
